It’s a mixed bag with the new unemployment numbers supplied by the Department of Workforce Services on a monthly basis. While Daggett County has struggled the most this year, June unemployment actually decreased
from 4.5 to 4.2
percent. Duchesne County saw a slight tick up from 4.4 to 4.5 percent unemployment. Uintah County also saw a slight shift in the wrong direction from 4.6 to 4.7 percent unemployment. Nationally, unemployment ticked up from 3.6 to 3.7 percent unemployment while the state of Utah ticked down to 2.8 percent unemployment
from 2.9
the month before.
