Today is the final day on the job for a well known member of the community. After 28 and a half years, Uintah Recreation District Director Robin O’Driscoll is ready for retirement. “I have loved my job, absolutely loved it” shares O’Driscoll. “It’s just time to retire and spend some time with my family.” O’Driscoll says she won’t be going anywhere and plans to remain active in the community. She also explains that the Rec District will be in good hands with Kris Abegglen taking over as the Interim Rec District Director. Abegglen has been the Golf Pro at the Dinaland Golf Course for the last few years but before that worked as a parks and rec director in Richfield, explains O’Driscoll. Abegglen could be made the permanent director but no official decision has been made. It is anticipated, however, that positions will be finalized in the spring as the county completes the restructuring of the special service districts.
