Uintah High has had a tradition for the last 23 years to raise money for charities. ‘Chuck Your Change’ week includes student activities to raise money such as paying to throw a pie at a teacher, a balloon war contest, locking the student body president in a glass case for donations and so much more. This year the school decided to raise money for two charities, Special Olympics and to help a local boy named Boone. The students partnered with the Make a Wish foundation to help send three-year old Boone and his family to Disney World. For those in the community that want to help, there are two events that the school is inviting the community to. A Santa Dash 5K run will be held
on Saturday, December 15th, from 9:00-11:00am
with pre-registration
starting at 8:00am
, or via the school website. Then
on Monday, December 17th
, is the family game night and will include a photo booth with Santa. The games will be family friendly for ALL ages. Funds earned will benefit this year’s charity causes.
