Uintah County Sheriff’s Office Holds Annual Awards Banquet

The Uintah County Sheriff’s Office held their annual awards banquet last week. Randy Harding was awarded Citizen of the Year for his heroic efforts that helped save several lives. The Sheriff’s Award was given to Chase Hall and Travis Mold. Patrol Deputy of the Year is Kyle Fuller. Corrections Deputy of the Year is Tyler Conley. Detective of the Year is Dan Bunnell. Controller of the Year is Kade Boren. Amy Leishman received the Outstanding Service Award. Robert Ogle, John Fairey, Jason Angus, Taylor Ehlers, Drexon Simmons, Kori Anderson, and Cody Harrison received the Life Saving Award. This year’s 1st place Top Gun award went to Dalton Roth. Certificates of Appreciation were given to Crystal Clark and Don Brookens. The Administrative Staff was recognized and two groups received Team Unity Awards. “2017 was a very busy year for the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office,” shares Sheriff Vance Norton. “Our citizens of Uintah County should be very proud of the hard work and professionalism our team exhibit every day. It takes a great team to make everything function properly when you’re in charge of a 4,300 square mile county and a 384 bed jail to attend to, and we have that team.” The Sheriff thanked all his staff and the businesses that donated to the event.
