The local library systems are holding special grant writing workshops throughout the many branches and now it is Vernal’s turn. Come learn how securing grants can help local companies and causes. The workshop will teach tricks and techniques to enhance the probability of securing grant funds. A study from The Foundation Center shows that it is worth pursuing grants. In their study sampling, 35 percent of the grantmakers funded 50 percent or more of the grant requests that had been submitted. The local workshop scheduled for today and which is entitled ‘When Bake Sales Aren’t Enough’ is free and will cover the basics of seeking grant funding, as well as how to get your organization “grant ready”. To participate, meet at the Uintah County Library today with the workshop going from 4pm to 6pm.
