Uintah County Commission Board Appointments

With the Uintah County Commission fully seated, the list of board appointments have been finalized. On a county level, Chairman Bill Stringer is covering animal control, grounds and facilities, museums and libraries, public safety, planning and community development, travel and tourism, and the trails coalition. Brad Horrocks is assigned the conference center, Buckskin Hills, Western Park, USU, roads, flood control, transportation, health, mosquito abatement, and the MBA. Duane Shepherd is assigned to cemeteries, economics, public lands, personnel, IT, emergency management, homeless shelter, fire suppression, recreation, weed board, chamber of commerce and MBA. Each of the Commissioners serve on state boards including committees for the Utah Association of Counties, as well as regional and some national boards or committees. During Monday’sCommission meeting, Commissioner Stringer emphasized that while there are specific board appointments, the public can address questions or concerns to any of the Commissioners and they will get them the information and help they need.
