Uintah County Building Project To Improve ADA Accessibility In North Parking Lot/Entrance

Uintah County announced on Thursday plans to renovate the county building’s north parking lot and entrance starting within the next week to improve ADA accessibility. The north parking lot will have the parking islands removed and accessibility parking spaces and improved lighting added. The north entrance will be replaced with a covered breezeway, sliding glass doors, and an interior ADA-compliant ramp.Visitors to the county building will be invited to park on the street, in the west parking lot, or the Uintah County Library parking. “This is a much-needed improvement for a building that serves residents from across Uintah County and welcomes visitors every day,” said Commissioner Sonja Norton. “Everyone should be able to access County services comfortably and safely. These improvements will create a more welcoming experience and make it easier for residents and visitors to reach the offices and services they need.” Uintah County appreciates the community’s patience while these improvements take shape. Construction and parking updates will be shared as work progresses.
