The Uintah County Commission approved adoption of the 2017 General Plan during Monday’s Commission meeting. City Planner Matt Cazier presented the plan to those in attendance stating that they have been going through this process for a little more than a year and that the resource management plan, which is part of the General Plan, was approved in August to meet a state deadline. The Uintah County Transportation Master Plan is also included. “There are several documents but they are all in one place today under this resolution,” shared Cazier. Commissioner Bill Stringer stated that the plan is nothing that people haven’t seen but today’s approval is a move to consolidate the components of the plan. The Planning Commission held multiple public hearings on the General plan and came back with a recommendation for the Commission. There were no comments or questions from the public and the Commissioners unanimously approved the adoption of the Uintah County General Plan.
