The Uintah High School mountain biking team is already looking to next fall and are welcoming new recruits to start training with them. Coach Jesse Atwood is inviting anyone interested to attend a meeting about the upcoming season to learn more about the amazing opportunity mountain biking is for all kids. “One thing I love about coaching,” shares Atwood, “is I get to see kids that come in and have tried other sports yet never found their niche but they want to be competitive and feel that competitive spirit. In mountain biking you can find that. Everyone gets to participate. Everyone gets to race and you race against yourself. It is awesome to see these kids that really develop and flourish in our sport.” The race season starts in September and the team has 5 racing events around the state. Coach Atwood also says they are always looking for adults who ride and have a desire to get involved and help coach the kids.
