Spring means construction season and the Utah Department of Transportation is wasting no time in getting started, including work on Highway 40 in the Gusher area. The resurfacing project resumed this month near milepost 125 at approximately 11285 East Randlett and SR 88. “Work will include the removal and replacement of asphalt to make a smoother ride and extend the life of the roadway, guardrail and barrier replacement, box culvert repair and sign replacement,” shares the UDOT announcement. “Work will begin in the eastbound lane. One lane in each direction will remain open during this work. The speed limit will be lowered to 55 MPH through the project corridor to increase safety for both motorists and working crews.” The public is asked to follow all signage closely. Minor delays are possible from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
