Construction will begin as early as tomorrow on Highway 40 in Duchesne County. The Utah Department of Transportation has announced that they will be resurfacing Highway 40 from the Antelope Creek Bridge to Pole Line Road starting as early as June 17th. “Project objectives are aimed at preserving the life of the roadway,” shares the announcement. “This paving process will help increase the longevity of the road surface, increase skid resistance for vehicles, address roadway deterioration, and enhance motorist safety by resmoothing the travel lanes. Additionally, crews will upgrade various guardrail, refresh lane painting/striping and replace roadside signage.” Work will generally take place Monday through Friday from sunrise to sunset. Some Saturdays there may be work happening but only as necessary. The project’s estimated completion time is August of 2025.
