Local President of the Uintah Basin Applied Technology College was presented with an award during the March UBATC Board meeting. President Aaron Weight received the Patriot Award from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve through the Department of Defense. President Weight was nominated by UBATC Director of Energy Services Captain Weslie M. Porter for his continued support of Porter’s military duties. “President Weight has always shown support in my military assignments and duties,” shared Porter. “He has allowed me to create a balance of military, civilian career and family that not many Guard and Reserve soldiers enjoy.” The Patriot Award is a National Award and nominees are considered by a review panel. President Weight thanked Director Porter for the nomination and expressed his appreciation for all the military men and women serving in the Uintah Basin.
