Information is scarce but there have been two confirmed accidents involving semis in the Uintah Basin in as many days. The Duchesne Volunteer Fire Department shared that they responded to a semi truck accident 5 miles south of Highway 40 on Antelope Drive in Duchesne County on Wednesday, October 24th. “The driver was extricated from the vehicle and transported to the Uintah Basin Medical Center ER.” Images of the crash show a mangled semi overturned in several feet of dirt. A second accident involving a semi occurred on Thursday afternoon on Highway 40 near 700 West in Vernal. While details were limited on Thursday, Vernal Police confirmed that the accident involved a car and a semi and there were injuries sustained.
