Tri-County Health Charging station

TriCounty Health Department announced on Thursday that the free trial period for the
electric vehicle (EV) charging station at the Vernal TriCounty Health Department
location has ended. The quick charge station was installed at the Vernal office in October
2021 and has been available to the public to use for free.

The TriCounty Board of Health met this week on Wednesday and decided that it was time to implement a charge. The new cost is 14 cents per kilowatt-hour plus a $1.25 transaction fee per use. “We were very happy to offer free charging to the public as we sought to raise awareness of this fast-charging station,” shares TriCounty Health Director Kirk Benge. “We’re glad so
many people have used the service as we continue to work toward clean air in the Basin.”
Plans for an EV station at the Roosevelt TriCounty Health office are still underway.
