Traffic Stop Ends In Drug Arrest In Duchesne County

A traffic stop in Duchesne County ended in arrest last week. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, the traffic stop took place on Highway 40 near mile post 68 when the officer noticed a vehicle without headlights on after sunset. The driver was identified as Jamie Aragon of Colorado. The officer was familiar with Jamie’s past for drug and theft offenses and noted that she appeared very nervous and shaky. Jamie said she was clean and nothing illegal was in the vehicle. The officer asked for consent to search the vehicle which Jamie gave and she exited the vehicle. The search revealed a scale and crystal white substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. A meth pipe was also located as well as a glass pipe with a large amount of what appeared to be meth and another scale. 50-year-old Jamie Lynne Aragon was arrested and is charged with 3rd Degree Felony Possession of Controlled Substance, Use of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving on a Denied License.
