The boil order for the Town of Rangely has been lifted as of Thursday. According to a news release from the Rangely Police Department, the Town of Rangely’s water supply has been tested and is determined to be safe to drink. On May 4th, a main water line was breached causing the drinking water system to experience pressure loss with the possibility of contamination entering the water system. The Town of Rangely issued a Drinking Water Warning and boil order. Thankfully now, a few days later, it’s determined the water is safe.“The water will appear white for a few days due to being saturated with air,” shares the news release. “If you have any questions or concerns regarding the safety of the water, please call [Rangely] Town Hall at 970-675-8476.”
