The Utah Film Commission announced on Friday the Utah Board of Tourism Development’s approval of three new productions for state film incentives and Season 8 of The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch is one of them. The film incentives generate an estimated economic impact of $9.3 million and create over 100 new jobs across the three productions. “The approval of these three productions is a targeted investment in our state’s film industry,” shares Virginia Pearce, Director of the Utah Film Commission. “By leveraging our film incentive program, we are fueling a ripple effect of activity that extends far beyond the screen by creating jobs, supporting small businesses, and diversifying the local economy.” The other approved film productions are ‘The Last Treasure Hunt’ filmed in Kane and Washington Counties and ‘Untitled Republic Pictures Project’ filmed in Iron and Utah Counties.
