A technical rope rescue saved a teen who had fallen down a mountain and sustained serious injuries in Moffat County on Wednesday. The Moffat County Sheriff’s Office shares that at approximately 9:30am on August 12th, a 911 call came in reporting a juvenile male who had fallen down the side of Cedar Mountain, sustaining serious injuries. Craig Fire Rescue and Moffat County Search and Rescue responded and conducted a technical rope rescue to safely reach and remove the injured juvenile from the mountainside. The juvenile was transported by helicopter to a medical facility outside the area for further treatment.
