Andeavor, previously Tesoro, is being recognized for their contributions to local education by Team Uintah this week. Andeavor is a refining, marketing, and logistics company with offices in the Uintah Basin that has proven that they support public schools. The company awarded the Uintah School District’s STEM program with an $87,000 dollar grant recently. “With that grant,” shares Team Uintah, “the district will purchase the Project Lead the Way curriculum for all grade levels.” Project Lead the Way is curriculum used in STEM programs, STEM standing for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Andeavor’s Kye Hansen has worked closely with the school district’s Career and Technical Education director to facilitate the generous grant.
