Suspect in Roosevelt City Burglary Identified with Public’s Help

Roosevelt Police were able to locate a burglary suspect on Tuesday with the help of the public. According to Roosevelt City Police Chief Rick Harrison, police were called to a burglary at Smoker Mania at

50 South 200 East

in Roosevelt at about 5:50am on May 29th. “Store video showed a younger looking person break a window, enter the store, and leave through the door with several tobacco items,” shares Chief Harrison. “A Facebook post identified the suspect as a local 14-year-old juvenile runaway. Later in the afternoon, the suspect was located at an apartment complex in Roosevelt.” The young man was taken to the Split Mountain Detention Center. Roosevelt Police thanks all who responded to the Facebook post and “for their help getting this young man off the street and in a safe place.”
