Travelers should plan for delays in UDOT construction on 17 miles of Highway 40 from Daniels Summit to Soldier Creek in the Strawberry Valley. While all lanes were open in each direction through the Memorial weekend holiday, lane shifts and temporary striping will take place starting as early as Tuesday. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 MPH in the work zone and there will be advisory speed limits between Mile Post 34 and 36 during wildlife crossing construction. A twelve foot lane will be maintained in each direction during initial construction and work will take place daily
from Monday to Friday
. Please allow for extra travel time and use alternate routes when possible. Drivers are also urged to drive safely and be aware of workers near driving lanes.
