STEAM Expo Educates And Entertains Local Middle Schoolers

Middle school students from across the Uintah Basin enjoyed another great day at the Uintah Basin STEAM Expo at the Roosevelt USU campus. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math and the Expo offers an abundance of hands-on activities, experiments, and creative projects to learn from. Of course, USU Chemistry Professor Dr. Mike Christiansen was there to prove that science experiments can be both educational and fun. The Roosevelt City Police K-9 Unit taught about their role in keeping the local community safe and put on an interesting demonstration. The City also had representatives from their Public Works and Fire Department, giving students a chance to get a close up look at what it takes to keep the City running everyday. All that presented and attended had a great day enjoying all that Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math offer in real life careers and situations.
