The Uintah County Rise And Thrive Business Speed Pitch competition continues to grow
each year and this year’s event was a big success. This year’s event had 35 applications
with 31 of those entries qualifying to participate in the preliminary round. Ten presenters
were then selected for the final round which took place at the Uintah Conference Center.
Each presenter did a great job with their 3 minute pitch and answering questions from the
judges. The 1st place award went to Shay and Taylor Densley with Hopes Haven, an
organization that uses horses to facilitate mental health therapy sessions. Hopes Haven
received $12,000 dollars toward their business idea. The 2nd place winner was Nelly
Gomez with Dino Clean with an award of $7,000 dollars. The 3rd place winner was
Amanda Jenkins with Vernal Vineyard with an award of $4,000 dollars. The People’s
Choice Award was presented to Ambryn and Brytin Jackson with their product Squeaky
Soap. If you want to learn more about this competition, visit www.uintahspeedpitch.com.
