Search Continues for Rock Springs Hunter; Drone Operators Invited to Help

by | Oct 30, 2018 | News | 0 comments

The search continues in the Pine Mountain area for a missing Rock Springs hunter. 74-year-old Terry Meador was believed to have gone hunting alone and was reported missing to the Rock Springs Police Department on October 25th. His unoccupied blue Chevy pickup was found badly stuck north of Pine Mountain. Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office reports that unsuccessful ground and air searches were conducted Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Search efforts will continue throughout the week and, weather permitting, a large-scale search calling for volunteers will be held this weekend. In the meantime, Sheriff Mike Lowell has asked that hunters in the Pine Mountain area remain alert and notify the Sheriff’s Office with any sightings. Also, while drone operators had previously been asked to keep drones out of the area during the air search, it is now safe and they are invited to fly drones in the search area, at least for the time being.
