Roosevelt City issued a press release on Wednesday announcing that Lt. Allan Tucker has been appointed as the Acting Police Chief. On October 24th, Chief Rick Harrison announced his resignation. Harrison had served as the Chief of Roosevelt City Police Department since 2005 and the City expressed their appreciation for his service in their announcement. Wednesday’s press release also shared information about an ongoing investigation. “Early in the week of October 19th, Roosevelt City Administrators became aware of allegations against some members of the Roosevelt Police Department,” shares Roosevelt City. “Immediate steps were taken, and two officers have been placed on administrative leave. Also, an investigation by an independent third party has been requested. Due to the active nature of the investigation and the protected status of personnel matters, Roosevelt City is unable to issue further comment at this time. However, at the conclusion of the investigation, the City will release all findings that can legally be made public.”
