Fire Restrictions Lifted in Ashley National Forest

As of Wednesday, October 28th, fire restrictions have been lifted within Ashley National Forest. “With the arrival of cold weather, the Ashley National Forest is lifting fire restrictions across the Forest,” shares their announcement. “The fuels across the Forest are still very dry and the Forest is asking everyone to please be careful with campfires and ensure they are completely extinguished prior to leaving them unattended.  There is still potential for fire to spread even during this dry cold period. Many firefighting resources have been called to California and other locations to deal with large fires and any new starts here on the Ashley National Forest would challenge the Forest’s ability to control them.” All are urged to continue being careful with fire while recreating in Ashley National Forest.
