A Roosevelt man accepted a plea bargain earlier this month in connection with a Duchesne County case in which he was selling stolen items online. Prosecutors dismissed all charges in 7 cases of theft against Travis Kirk Cook as he pleaded guilty to felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, two counts of theft by receiving stolen property, and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Charges were filed against 35-year-old Travis Kirk Cook and 29-year-old Danielle Jensen Cook this summer after detectives searched their home and located a cache of stolen antiques and memorabilia. According to the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office, the couple would sell the stolen items on eBay and a Facebook page called Small Town Underground Antiques and Collectables. Travis Cook was arrested during the

search while Danielle Cook was already in the Duchesne County Jail serving on a jail sentence for a conviction in a prior case. The search was conducted at their home on
490 North Hillcrest Drive
on June 27th
and
June 29th.
Silverware, “Depression-era glass”, saddles, beer steins, a Prisoner of War journal, military citations and military uniform were recovered among other items.  A baseball-sized amount of methamphetamine was also recovered from the home. Travis Cook remains in Duchesne County Jail and is awaiting sentencing
on October 23rd.
His wife, Danielle Jensen Cook was never charged in connection with the theft and sale of stolen items online but she has pleaded guilty to drug charges. She was sentenced to serve 120 days in jail and was then released to an inpatient drug treatment program with credit for time served.
