Roosevelt Intruder Arrested After Leaving Wallet At Scene

An intruder who broke into a Roosevelt home last week was arrested after leaving behind identifying information. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, officers responded to a call on September 9th during which the home owner showed officers a metal outside door that had been kicked in, breaking the door jamb. Both locks were locked at the time, moving the door jamb into the home, breaking some sheet rock and putting a hole in the opposite side wall. The homeowner explained that the person that did it left his wallet in the kitchen. The wallet contained credit cards with the name Wyatt K. Kesler. The homeowner explained that his daughter in law was downstairs nursing her 3 month old baby when she heard someone coming down the stairs. She said a man she had never met before had walked into the bedroom while she was nursing her baby and asked if she was okay. She asked him to “Leave NOW” and he walked out. She thought he left the residence but then came through the closed bedroom door for the 2nd time and was again told to leave. She watched him get into a truck and leave and gathered things to flee the home with her baby in case he came back. That is when she noticed the kitchen door had been kicked in gaining access to the home. 31-year-old Wyatt Kade Kesler was arrested and booked into Duchesne County Jail. He is charged with 3rd Degree Felony Burglary, 3rd Degree Felony Property Damage, and Disorderly Conduct. For alleged events that occurred while being transported to the jail, Wyatt Kade Kessler is also facing charges of 3rd Degree Felony Assault by a Prisoner, Threat of Violence, and Criminal Mischief.
