Anyone who has been to a party put on by the Roosevelt Branch Library knows to expect an epic time. Excitement is especially high for Thursday’s Star Wars Party to be held at the Strata Networks building in Roosevelt. There will be refreshments as well as a variety of crafts, activities, and prizes. “One of the things that will make this party different from those in the past is the Jedi Training Obstacle Course,” shares Librarian Stephen Moon. “It is by far the most physical game we have ever done.” Also worth noting is that there will be a popcorn bar. “Think build your own potato bar but with a small bag of popcorn instead of a potato,” explains Moon. The event will act as a kick-off party to the summer reading program as this year’s theme is ‘A Universe of Stories’. If individuals haven’t signed up for the summer reading program they can at the party, with reading programs for all ages. There will also be ‘Libraragon’s Army’ t-shirts for sale that will raise funds for the Roosevelt Branch library. The party runs
from 6 to 8pm on Thursday
at
211 East 200 North in Roosevelt
