The Roosevelt Branch of the Duchesne County Library System has every reason to feel proud. The library’s summer reading program wrapped up last night and the numbers are in, setting records across the board. There were 1,199 participants of all ages that signed up at the beginning of the summer. Over a third of those completed the program including 118 adults, 79 teens, and 204 children for a combined 15,326 hours of reading logged over the course of the summer. “Not bad for our little library,” shares Librarian Stephen Moon. “This just shows us how much our community needs its library.”
Wednesday night
the participants celebrated in style by stopping at the library to choose a prize and then heading over to the Roosevelt Aquatic Center for a dip in the pool. Those that weren’t able to pick up their prize
on Wednesday night
are welcome to come by
until September 1st.
