Roosevelt City has many great traditions that help the community to gather together and enjoy some events. One yearly tradition is held throughout the month of January. Sponsored by the Roosevelt Arts, Park and Recreation Committee, Winterfest is a selection of activities usually held on Saturdays. Winterfest 2021 will start on Saturday, January 9th with a Photography Class starting at 10am at the Cynthia Center for $18 dollars per person. There will be free Outdoor Ice Skating all month at Constitution Park. While the event is free, individuals will need to bring their own skates. The following Saturday, January 16th there will be another Photography Class in the morning, Yoga in the afternoon, and Paint Night in the evening. Yoga will start at 1pm at the Cynthia Centar. Paint Night will be at two locations, the Cynthia Center and Christopher’s starting at 6pm and will cost $20 dollars per person. January 23rd there will be free sledding at Constitution Park with a time to be announced. To participate in the photography class and paint night make sure to preregister.
