For those in the Uintah Basin that have interests of an equine nature there is an organization looking for members. The Rising Star Riders Saddle Club is a family oriented horse/rider club that is having their first meeting of the year. Though a membership club, their first meeting is open to the public to come see what they are about. The horse club is seeking to promote the versatile horse, “one that will interact with the rider, as a team, to perform many and varied acts of horsemanship using a variety of props, patterns, and cues.” They also reach out to other saddle clubs to cultivate good horsemanship and friendly relationships, including holding trail rides and other activities that are compatible with U.S.C.A. and N.S.C.A.
