Representative Rob Bishop has been appointed Chairman of a unique task force aimed at studying the balance of powers between federal on down to local governments. Speaker Paul Ryan announced the creation of the Task Force for Intergovernmental Affairs on Thursday. The task force, now chaired by Bishop, is a bipartisan group of lawmakers. “Speaker Ryan has done something unique,” shares Representative Bishop. “He is looking outside of Washington for answers…The solutions to our nation’s problems are found in the creativity of state, local, and tribal governments, all of whom are closer to the people than Washington bureaucrats. Working with these leaders will produce bipartisan solutions and greater coordination to improve the lives of the American people.”
