A repeat DUI offender has allegedly been caught at it again. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, dispatch received multiple reports of a yellow Dodge pickup swerving all over the road. They responded to the area around milepost 78 on Highway 40 in Duchesne County. An officer located the vehicle drifting back and forth on the roadway and initiated a stop. The officer stated in the Affidavit that the driver had slurred speech and the strong odor of alcohol was detected. The man said he did not have a driver’s license but was trying to get it back. The officer noticed a paper ID as the man fumbled trying to find an ID. The paper ID identified the man as Wesley Richardson. The officer performed a series of field sobriety tests and determined Richardson was not safe to be driving. He resisted arrest but was brought into custody. 62-year-old Wesley Ray Richardson is charged with 3rd Degree Felony DUI with a prior felony, Interfering with a Peace Officer, and Driving on Denied License, among other charges.
