Northwest Colorado SWAT Responds To Barricaded Suspect

On the morning of August 22nd, Craig Police responded to an address in Craig to contact a male party wanted on a felony domestic violence warrant for a recent incident. Officers made visual contact with the suspect, Antonio Archuleta. He was alone in the residence and refused to exit. It was known that firearms were inside so a perimeter was set up and Archuleta was informed over the PA system that he was under arrest, but he refused to exit. The NorthWest Colorado (NWCO) SWAT team was activated and after approximately 3 hours, Archuleta finally surrendered. He was taken into custody and booked into the Moffat County Jail on a $30,000 bond. Antonio Archuleta is charged with 2nd Degree Assault-Strangulation, 3rd Degree Assault, Domestic Violence, Failure to Leave Premises, and Violations of a Protection Order.
