Individuals 34 years old or younger wishing to receive furbearer permits must complete a Furharvester education course and luckily a Uintah Basin field day is coming up. “Bobcat permits are only on sale in the month of October, so it’s too late to help out this year, but will ensure opportunity for next year,” Tonya Kieffer-Selby of the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources shares. “We do not offer many furharvester education classes in the state.” This course has four parts, one of which includes a field day requirement. For the state of Utah, the only field day on the calendar is coming up in Roosevelt
on Saturday, December 1st.
To attend, an individual will need to do the following: 1.) Purchase the Furharvester Education Registration certificate for $6 either online, at the DWR office or from a license agent. The instructor must have this certificate to enroll you. 2.) Plan to attend the field day in Roosevelt. 3.) Contact the instructor Morgan Larsen at
