Memorial Day kicked off a tragic annual observance, the ‘100 Deadliest Days of Summer’ on Utah’s roadways. The 100 Deadliest Days refers to the period between Memorial Day and Labor Day when there is a spike in fatal crashes on highways and roads. Law enforcement has already made their presence known across the state, including in the Uintah Basin. Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office was among the agencies across the state that participated in the Click It or Ticket Campaign through the end of May, reminding everyone to buckle up every trip, every time. Enforcement efforts targeting speeding, seatbelt use, and distracted driving can be expected as we’ve entered the 100 Deadliest Days of Summer on Utah roads. Do your part to make safety the top priority during this summer’s travels.
