It was a magical weekend in the Vernal area over the weekend with the 4th annual Dinah “SOAR” Days Hot Air Balloon Festival. 33 hot air balloon pilots from 8 states participated, adding vibrancy to the skies each morning and glow to downtown at night. “What a fantastic weekend for Dinah SOAR days!” shares Uintah County Travel and Tourism Director Lesha Coltharp. “It was great to see the balloons fly all 3 mornings and glow on 2 nights. We are so thankful for the hundreds of volunteers that make this event possible and help get the balloons off the ground. We couldn’t do it without sponsors and volunteers.” Coltharp estimated that on both Friday and Saturday night, over 10,000 people came to Main Street to watch the night glows, hear the music, and shop at the market. The Festival’s 2022 dates will be August 26th through August 28th.
