Positive Water Outlook

The falling snow offers comfort to those concerned about water outlook in the coming year. Commenting during Monday’s Uintah County Commission meeting, Uintah Water Conservancy District Director Gawain Snow said it’s expected Steinaker will have a full year supply of water by the middle of March. Snow also briefly mentioned a grant recently awarded through Natural Resources Conservation Service Utah amounting to around $7 million dollars that will be used for various projects in Uintah County. The 2017 Uintah Basin Water Summit is being held January 18th at the Uintah Conference Center and will provide more information on water outlook Basin wide as well as project updates.
