Being a parent can be difficult. For all parents/caregivers and any adult who wants to gain more parenting skills there is a free course titled “Parenting the Love and Logic Way”. There will be different topics once a week over a 6 week course. Some of the skills you’ll learn include setting appropriate limits, learning what logical and natural consequences are, teaching responsibility, ending power struggles and making parenting more enjoyable! There will be three locations with staggering starts. The first set of classes will be on Tuesdays, starting today, from 6:30 to 8:30pm at the Uintah County Library. The second set will be at 6pm on Thursdays starting in October at Zion’s Bank in Roosevelt held in the conference room downstairs. The final set will be on Tuesdays at 6pm in the North Eastern Counseling Building in Duchesne starting on October 13th. All the classes are free but individuals need to register. The courses are for those that are 18 years old or older. To register or gain more information call Kristin Huber at 435-621-5298.
