Uintah High School is spreading the word about the success of one of its own. Art teacher Chris Manwaring’s painting ‘The Last Slice of Summer’ was named Best of Show in the American Impressionist Society’s 27th Annual National Juried Exhibition. The exhibition is currently on display at the Mockingbird Gallery in Bend, Oregon. Manwaring’s piece is one of 180 juried artworks selected for the show out of nearly 1,550 entries. Uintah High shared that Exhibition Judge Calvin Liang, in awarding Manwaring’s painting Best of Show, commented: “The artist's command of shape, color, value, and edges is exceptional, creating a clear focal point while maintaining a unified, visually rich composition." The exhibition runs through October 3rd.
