Governor Maintains Current Health Risk; Rural Counties May Move to Green
While some anticipated that Governor Herbert would move the health risk level to Green, that did not happen. On June 5th, the Governor extended his COVID-19 health risk status order from May 29th through June 12th meaning all current health risk guidance for the state remains unchanged.

Storm an Example of Need for Upcoming Vernal Downtown Drainage Project

Vernal City Manager Quinn Bennion shares that there were many downed trees, power outages, and flooding of store entrances on Vernal Main Street. “Several business owners placed sandbags at their Main Street entrances to minimize water damage,” explains Bennion.

Locals Remember Fallen Officer 10 Years Later
Sunday, June 7th, marked 10 years since a Bureau of Indian Affairs police officer’s life was lost in a car accident and local agencies and individuals took the opportunity to remember him on social media. Officer Joshua Yazzie was just 33 years old when the accident occured as he was responding to a call.

Highway 40 Gusher UDOT Project Update
