KNEU 1250The Uintah Basin Water Summit welcomed state and local leaders to the Grace Event Center in Roosevelt on Wednesday. Many speakers addressed water issues in the Basin and of course the low snowpack was a topic of concern.
Plans on the Uintah County Trails Master Plan continues forward and a public meeting is scheduled in the coming weeks to gather further input from the public. Last spring, the trails committee held several public hearings that contributed to the work that has been done in the many months since.

The Uintah High School wrestling team takes competition seriously and it paid off over the weekend at the Tournament of Champions in Vernal. Out of 28 teams, the Utes took 1st place with a team combined total of 223 points. Juab came in 2nd and Delta 3rd. Other teams from the region competed as well.
Vernal Regional Airport manager Doug Brown gave a report to the board of the Uintah Transportation Special Service District on Thursday evening. Brown explained to the board the need to analyze the rates at the airport. Brown specifically wanted to discuss the lease rates for the hangers at the airport.
The Craig Police are asking the public to keep an eye out for 29-year-old Marco Ocejo-Contreras. Marco is 5 foot 9 inches tall and weighs approximately 130 pounds.
