Outstanding Teacher Nominations Requested by Uintah Schools Foundation

Is there a teacher in the Uintah School District that has positively impacted your life or the life of a student you know? The Uintah Schools Foundation is requesting nominations of outstanding teachers who have given extraordinary service to students. The Foundation has been recognizing local teachers since 1997. “The award is made possible through the Showalter Endowment Award for Excellence in Teaching,” shares Judy Huber. “Each recipient will receive a plaque and $500 which will be presented at the Foundation’s annual recognition evening. Parents, family members, current students, and former students are all encouraged to nominate a teacher who they think is deserving of the award.” Nomination forms are available at all elementary and secondary school offices in Uintah School District. It can also be printed from www.uintah.net. Nominations must be submitted by Tuesday, February 18th to the Uintah School District Office, 635 West 200 South. If being sent by mail, the nomination must be postmarked by Friday, February 14th. This is a one-time honor for the teachers.
