North Fork Wildfire Sparks In Moffat County

A new wildfire sparked in Moffat County on Wednesday. The Moffat County Sheriff’s Office announced around 6:15pm that fire crews were actively fighting the North Fork Fire, located south of Highway 40 near Moffat County Road 15. Crews from the Moffat County Sheriff’s Office, Craig Fire/Rescue, and U.S. Wildland Fire Resources responded. “Smoke is visible from Highway 40 and surrounding areas,” shares the announcement. “Please avoid the area and give firefighters and emergency equipment plenty of room to work.”
