Uintah County Fair is underway at Vernal’s Western Park with days of fun in store for all ages and interests. Western Park General Manager Derk Hatch says this year has the mother of all carnivals and is the biggest this fair has had in his 31 years of involvement. . Friday night also has a new family event, the Family Fandom Fest. Take pictures with fantastic characters your kids will love like the Fair Bear, Bumblebee, knights in shining armor, and pirates! Come dressed in costume for the costume contest. National Monster Truck All Star Showdown is back for Saturday night’s entertainment but Hatch says this will be the first year there will be a monster truck that jumps over another monster truck.
