Naples City is ringing in 2018 in style and are inviting the entire Basin community to join them. Mayor Dean Baker had been contacted by a group in July about teaming up for a fireworks show and as a result the city hosted fireworks on the 24th of July. “The show was phenomenal,” shares Mayor Baker, “so I brought it back up to the City Council and said it would be fun to have another show for New Year’s Eve.” The council agreed and along with a donation from Rocky Mountain Power, the city covered the cost of fireworks and Ashley Acres Lights hopped on board for another show for Naples City, donating their time. “We are hoping people come out and enjoy the show and maybe this can become an annual tradition,” shares Mayor Baker. The City decided to have the show in the evening in order to be family friendly and then people can head home excited to ring in the New Year a few short hours later. The Firework Show will be held December 31st at 8:00pm at the Naples City Park. All are welcome.
