Myton Residents Increasing Ordinance Enforcement

Myton Residents Increasing Ordinance Enforcement

Myton City is letting its residents know that a decade old Ordinance will now be enforced. Ordinance 94.01-94.07 states that items are not allowed in the Right-of-Way of roads. Things like recreational vehicles, boats, trailers, dumpsters, etc. cannot be stored within 10 feet of the travel surface of the road for more than 72 continuous hours. Residential garbage containers cannot remain in the public right-of-way or within 10 feet of the road’s travel surface for more than 24 continuous hours. The Ordinance has been in effect since March 2016 but has not been consistently enforced. Myton City encourages all residents to review their property and remove or relocate any items that may not meet the requirements of the ordinance before October 1, 2026. Questions about Ordinance 94.01-94.07 can be directed to Myton City Hall.
