Moffat County Drug Dealer Sentenced To 20 Years

A Moffat County drug dealer has been sentenced to 20 years in prison. In February, a jury found 58-year-old Murray Fenstermacher guilty of drug charges following a search warrant executed in 2020 at his business that discovered guns and drugs, including over 30 grams of methamphetamine. In response to Wednesday’s sentencing, Assistant District Attorney Matthew Tjosvold said: “Moffat County, Colorado is experiencing an epidemic of drug abuse. We live with overdose deaths, personal violence, child neglect, home and business burglaries, and thefts. Drug dealers profit from the sale of these poisons and the destruction they leave in their wake, while the social, personal and familial cost is borne by citizens of this county. We can only deter true distributors of these illegal substances, that destroy so many lives, through substantial prison sentences.”  Thankfully, that was what the judge delivered in this case.
