Man On Probation Arrested During Fuel Theft Investigation

The suspect in a fuel theft investigation in Duchesne County was brought into custody after violations of his probation were discovered. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, officers responded to a report that someone was stealing fuel out of the tanks of equipment on a worksite in the area of Crooked Sky Lane. Investigators were shown footprints that allegedly led to a nearby residence where Gabriel Stone answered the door. While the fuel theft investigation continued, it was discovered that Stone was on probation and the AP&P agent was called to perform a compliance check. Four knives were located in the living area, including 3 that were up to 10 inches in length. Drug paraphernalia and prescription drugs not belonging to those living in the home were located. 40-year-old Gabriel Mark Fresquez Stone and his girlfriend Brittney Bailey were arrested. They both admitted to recent illegal drug use, including fentanyl.
